Magdalena Hallste ist eine österreichisch-schwedische Sopranistin studierte an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien (MDW), u. a. bei KS Angelika Kirchschlager. Weitere Impulse erhielt sie durch Laura Aikin, KS Linda Watson und Gerhard Kahry.

Auf der Bühne war sie u. a. als Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Belinda (Dido and Aeneas), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte) und Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel) zu erleben – u. a. im MuTh, im Schlosstheater Schönbrunn und im Wiener Burgtheater.

2023 debütierte sie im Goldenen Saal des Wiener Musikvereins mit Mozarts Lo sposo deluso gemeinsam mit dem Concentus Musicus Wien unter Stefan Gottfried. Weitere Auftritte führten sie ins Brucknerhaus Linz, zum Greifenstein Festival (als Lilli in Künnekes Herz über Bord) und zum Lehár Festival Bad Ischl.

Im Konzertbereich sang sie zuletzt u. a. die Sopranpartien in Haydns Schöpfung und Bachs Weihnachtsoratorium unter der Leitung von Alois Glaßner. Sie ist regelmäßig als Solistin im Stephansdom Wien, im Mariendom Linz und im Dom zu Wiener Neustadt zu hören.

Mit großer Leidenschaft widmet sie sich dem Wienerlied und konzertiert regelmäßig mit dem Akkordeonisten Johannes Münzner, mit dem sie auch eine CD veröffentlicht hat.

The Austrian-Swedish soprano Magdalena Hallste grew up in a musical family near Linz, where she learned piano and oboe at an early age. Her enthusiasm for singing was quickly discovered and fostered through choir singing.
After completing her Bachelor’s degree in vocal pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW), she earned her Master’s degree there in 2020 with distinction under Martina Claussen. She then pursued studies in “Classical Operetta” at the Music and Art Private University (MUK) with Wolfgang Dosch, and “Song-Oratorio-Concert” at the MDW with KS Angelika Kirchschlager. Further artistic impulses were provided to the soprano by Laura Aikin, KS Linda Watson and Gerhard Kahry.
Already during her studies, Magdalena Hallste gained stage experience, performing as Belinda in Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas” and as Zerlina in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” at the MDW. Additionally, she made her debut as Papagena in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” at MuTh (the concert hall of the Vienna Boys’ Choir). In December 2021, the soprano was also seen as Gretel in E. Humperdinck’s “Hansel and Gretel” at the Schönbrunn Palace Theater.
Magdalena Hallste made her debut in June 2023 with the Concentus Musicus under the direction of Stefan Gottfried in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein, where the program featured the opera fragment “Lo sposo deluso” by W. A. Mozart. The soprano also debuted in the same formation and program at the Brucknerhaus Linz.
